Parent & Son/Daughter
Parent & Son/Daughter Adventures are one-week programs designed to equip
parents with the knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary to effectively build the qualities of
adulthood into the lives of their children. The programs were created to accomodate children ages
12 and older.
If you're a parent who wants to deepen and strengthen your family relationships, a Parent & Son/Daughter
adventure offers you a fun-filled, action-packed week with your son or daughter.
But, more importantly, it gives you a chance to build up those relationships through shared
challenges, goals, and adventures. The entire week is designed to equip you, as a parent, to
assume your God-given leadership role.
The Plan:
The biblical plan calls for parents to train their sons & daughters to become godly adults. The
original God-designed plan calls for hands-on training in a master-apprentice relationship.
The Focus:
The week-long experience will focus on the following three areas of practical responsibility
that come with growing independence.
- Bonding - Shared goals, challenges, and adventures are often the
ingredients needed to build strong and lasting relationships.
- Communication - The degree of influence that a parent will have on
their sons or daughters in preparation for adulthood is directly proportional to the level of
communication they have been able to establish with their children during their bonding years.
By taking part in a variety of shared challenges, projects, and achievements, not only will
relationships be enhanced but so will the level of communication
- Maturity - In order to adequately prepare a child for adulthood,
specific times of transition are essential.
Each parent and child will also learn accountability through a follow-up strategy for each goal set and commitment made.

- Passing on a Legacy of Fatherhood
- Five Priorities of a Peak Performer
- Preparing Children for their Teens/Adulthood
- Increasing a Child's Confidence
- Recovering from Past Mistakes.
Every challenge you face at JH Ranch will draw you and your children closer together, while giving
you practical ways to train them to become godly adults and strong leaders for their own families.
