Husband & Wife
Husband & Wife Adventures, a program offered during the Parent & Son/Daughter weeks, gives couples
the opportunity to experience
JH Ranch.
During the Husband/Wife Adventures week long experience, couples will focus on the following areas:
- Building and Defending Marriage – specific activities you can do to build a great marriage and situations to watch for and defend against that keep marriages from growing.
- Little Exits / Big Exits – what are the exits that husbands and wives take that prevent a marriage from growing, and what are the ramifications of these exits; how best to handle conflict when they arise.
- Teamwork – teams always accomplish more; how to strengthen the husband/wife team to achieve all that you as individuals, and as a couple, were meant to achieve.
- Oneness – What is biblical oneness? Are you one with your spouse in wholeness and harmony as God originally planned marriage to be: oneness of heart, mind, spirit, soul, and body? What are the barriers to oneness and what fuels oneness?
- Goal Planning – it is important to assess where you are and where you want to go in the future as individuals and as a couple. Goals and plans are influenced by the seasons of life a couple experiences.
Each day you and your spouse will draw closer together in a beautiful setting that offers fun, new adventures, and the chance to refocus back on each other and on God.
If you are a couple that would like to take your marriage to the next level, or just slow down for a week and refocus on each other, you will benefit from the design of the program. The program offers you a fun-filled week with your spouse, as well as a time to reflect and grow together.
During the week at the Ranch, Husbands and Wives participate in many of the adventures that have defined JH programs for over twenty-five years, as well as several activities unique to the Husband/Wife Program. Each experience has been designed to draw you and your spouse closer together. In addition to the Husband/Wife teaching sessions, couples enjoy river rafting, horse back riding, low-ropes, high ropes, lake activities, and the chance to take a hike in the beautiful Salmon Mountains.
For many years, the programs offered at the Ranch have focused on developing leaders among
America's youth. As young people attended Second Wind and Trac II and returned home as transformed
people, they began to impact their families. Parents began calling our offices asking what had
happened to their child at the Ranch. They wanted the opportunity to experience what their
children had experienced. We are so excited to be able to offer you this opportunity to share
a getaway to the Ranch with every member of your family.
